The Port of Palm Beach District Board of Commissioners is proud to recognize Commissioner Katherine Waldron for her six years of service as a Port Commissioner.

“I have really enjoyed my six years here and I think that this commission and this port is very under appreciated. We are an economic driver and we have a lot to be proud of,” Commissioner Waldron said during Thursday’s Board Meeting.

Waldron spearheaded several community projects while serving on the Port Commission.
She facilitated the COVID-19 drive through food events that were held at the Port for just over one year. She co-founded Palm Beach County Cares to help collect donations for victims of Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Dorian. The group also provided post-earthquake aid to Haiti.
“Any time there was a natural disaster Katherine always took the lead. Her more than anyone I have ever seen. For that alone I express my gratitude,” said Board Chairman Blair Ciklin.

Waldron announced her resignation back in May in order to qualify for another office. Her last day as Port Commissioner is November 8, 2022.
