Palm Beach County Cares, co-founded by Port Commissioner Katherine Waldron and Former U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Robin Bernstein, is providing clean drinking water to families in Haiti.

The organization purchased a mobile solar-powered water purification system thanks to the Cathleen McFarlane Foundation.
The system will soon be shipped to Haiti through Port user Monarch Shipping Company. Once in Haiti, the Grand'Anse Health and Development Association will receive the system and ensure it gets to the right people.
