The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has extended its "no sail" order through October. In the meantime, Florida cruise ports are pushing for a safe return to service for cruise ships. The Director of Port Miami Juan Kuryla requested for the CDC to meet with the America's Cruise Seaports Committee. The CDC rejected the proposal stating, "Currently, the CDC does not have enough information to determine when it will be safe for cruise ships to resume passenger operations."
