Strategic planning by Port Commissioners and staff ensures no taxes for residents in Port District

Board of Commissioners

For the 47th consecutive year, the Port of Palm Beach District Board of Commissioners voted to NOT levy any Ad Valorem taxes on the residents and business of the District.  The district consists of 971 square miles or approximately 50% of Palm Beach County. Since 1975, the Port of Palm Beach District has strategically managed to maintain the port's facilities and invest in capital projects, without using taxes from residents in the district.

The Port of Palm Beach is an economic engine, not only for the City of Riviera Beach and Palm Beach County, but for the greater South Florida Region.  Annually, the Port processed more than $14 billion in commodities and almost 80% of all goods passing through the port are exported and in excess of 2.5 million tons of cargo move through the Port of Palm Beach every year.
