Commissioners vote to adopt Juneteenth as a holiday

During the July Regular Board of Commissioners Meeting, Port Commissioners adopted a resolution to formally recognize Juneteenth as an official company holiday.

Juneteenth became a federal holiday this year. Observed on June 19, the holiday commemorates the true end of slavery in the U.S.

Thank you to our Commissioners for supporting the resolution.
