Families from Palm Beach County, who were in need of food, lined up in their cars for hours to get their hands on produce, meat, dry goods, diapers and dog food. There was enough food to feed at least 1,500 families. Many of those families are still struggling to stay afloat during the COVID-19 outbreak. The food distribution was organized by the Port, Hospitality Helping Hands and Feeding South Florida. Port Commissioner and Vice Chairman Joseph Anderson and Port Commissioner Katherine Waldron were among those who attended the event. The next drive-thru food distribution is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th at 3PM- 6PM.
