Former Port Commissioner George E. Mastics, Esq. Passed Away on Wednesday

George E. Mastics, Esq.

Early Wednesday morning, George Edward Mastics, Esq. passed away at his home in Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by family. Elected in 1996, Mastics served as a Commissioner of the Port of Palm Beach for 20 years, with six of those years as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.

Prior to relocating to Palm Beach in 1975, he served four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, sponsoring more than 100 bills that became law. A successful trial attorney, Mastics tried more than 200 jury trials; he was admitted to both the Florida and Ohio Bar, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
