Port of Palm Beach Construction Allows Record Cargo Capabilities for Florida Sugar and Molasses Exchange

Slip Three, the Port’s southernmost slip, underwent major renovations including increased depth of 35 feet (from 33’) and a northward shift of approximately 10 feet. The improvement will allow vessels to fully load without waiting on a rising tide. While the slip was still under construction, the Louis Howland was able to dock and load a record 16,700 short tons of sugar.

We are pleased to announce the open of the 2016 Summer Intern Program

Five (5) rising college sophomores from the local area will be selected
This is a PAID six- (6) week intern program focusing on business skills development in a real-world work environment
The Summer Intern Program runs from Thursday, June 9 to Friday, July 22, 2016 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. $10/hour
The application deadline Sunday, June 5, 2016

  • A resume, no longer than one (1) page that includes your GPA
  • A copy of your latest grade transcript
  • A 250-word essay on why you should be selected for the Summer Intern Program
